The Founder’s Story
Julius and Kula Brent are both expatriates from Monrovia, Liberia. They presently reside in the Madison, Wisconsin area, and they, along with others, established a church, “Hope in Christ Assembly.” The church provides culturally relevant music for African nationals. Original gospel music from African tribes and countries allows everyone to worship in their heart language and culture. God laid upon their heart to support those in their homeland, as so many struggle.
Liberia is one of the fastest-growing countries in the world. The population is estimated to be 5.7 million people, with 41% of the population under the age of 14. They saw an opportunity to move the Gospel into action to reach and support young people, and along with other expatriates and supporters in the U.S., they are working together to provide education, water, and supplies to those who desperately need them.
